Neui Van Luong, age 83, died Thursday, November 28, 2019 peacefully in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family.
Neui was born November 10, 1936 in Son La, Vietnam to father, Camtan Cam and mother, Cuong Cam. She was a member of the Taidam Association: Hak Hom and Kadsan. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. Neui treasured her family above all and loved spending time with them.
She is survived by her children Kim Baccam, Theui (La) Baccam, Somvang (Cheryl) Luong, Oun (Somsoy) Luong, Holly (Khamsay) Siakhasone, Peige Luong, Amanda (Calvin) Baccam, Soum (Kai) Luong and Sang (Kin) Luong; siblings, Ngoei Cam, Jeui Baccam, Kham Inh Cam, Kham Nen Cam, Lay Baccam, and Teuanh Cam; twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Neui was preceded in death by her husband, Quan Van Luong; daughter, Vien Campbell; and son-in-law, To Baccam.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will take place Monday, December 2, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
